Kristin Simmons, owner of KDS started her childcare business as a teenager. About a decade later, after the birth of her first child, she opened her large family childcare, which followed with the opening of a community childcare facility in 2012. She has also owned and operated a family party planning business since 2002.

After reaching her 30 year mark as director/owner in child-care, Kristin began to see a need for event childcare. She immediately felt confident she could offer services for this need with an enormous amount of knowledge, experience, and passion.
Kristin also has a master's degree in hospitality management from The University of Southern California. This program equipped her to approach event childcare with the same focus on client experience, operational logistics, and seamless coordination expected of high-quality events

"I had to miss out on some educational conferences because I didn't have childcare for my son". As Ms. Kristin said this, she first saw the need for Event childcare.

The following are always considered with priority:
Emergency exit & handling awareness
Health & safety training
Experience planning age appropriate curriculum & activities
Training on security measures (including child pick ups)
Training on child illnesses and allergies
Additional topics are also discussed as needed during monthly meetings with event managers
Prior to events, our staff discusses (with location personnel), emergency and 1st aid protocols.
All locations will have closely available restrooms and wash areas. We will also have drinking water throughout the duration of our bookings.
